Just heard the news... So sorry. My heart goes out to Louise and the children.
Though we were never close, Ben and Louise were more than friendly and supportive of me and my work over the years. They offered my late wife and I a beautiful home near the sea in Santa Cruz to celebrate our honeymoon in 2004. Ben took me on a personal tour around the Good Earth factory as well as through the Flag collection at the Presidio. He even flew to Chicago to serve as an advisor at the first Board meeting for my fledgling company in 2004, joining with his old college buddy Harold Ramis.
Like Harold, Ben was deeply invested in my mission to bring wholesome, community-based Rites of Passage to teen boys to help them across the threshold of maturity into young adulthood, bringing his family to a San Francisco fundraiser hosted by another old college buddy George Zimmer.
I will miss him and honor his memory with my ongoing work. Deep bows and condolences to Louise and the family.
