I offer my sincere condolences to Fern's family. You have lost a fine lady. I first met Fern when I was a teenager working at Ebert's grocery store, in the produce department for her husband Bunny. Even then she was always elegantly dressed and had a pleasant word for everyone. Over the years on the many occasions when I have encountered her she has remained the same extremely pleasant, elegantly dressed person I first met more than eighty years ago.
