Obituary of Eleanore Ellie Tefertiller

On Friday, June 16, 2017, Eleanore Jane (Bunter) Tefertiller peacefully departed this world for her new home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves a life marked by Joy, Wisdom, Honor and Grace. Ellie was born on July 20, 1928 in Ukiah, CA. She graduated from Ukiah High School in 1946 and the family moved to Santa Cruz shortly after. She attended Smith's School of Business and Biola College. After her schooling, she worked for various attorneys in town as a legal secretary. Cureton, Goodrich, Snyder, Marlow and McPhail were a few of them. During these years she met her future husband, William "Bill" Tefertiller. In 1968 Ellie joined the staff at Twin Lakes Church, working her way up to Office Manager and remained there until her retirement in 1990. In retirement, Bill and Ellie traveled with friends, throughout the United States in their motorhome. Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill. Following his death she moved to Dominican Oaks where she loved many and was loved. She is survived by daughter Cindy Bogard and her husband Jim of Santa Cruz, grandchildren Erin Schwartz (Dean) great grandchildren Alannah and William, Jared Bogaard (Laura) great grandchildren James, Thomas and Michael. Daughter Eileen Haggerty and husband Phil of Vancouver, Washington, grandsons Nicholas and Connor. She was also loved by her nieces, nephews and dear friends. Our Mom will be missed and remembered by many. Her family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Dominican Oaks for the wonderful care Ellie received for over 10 years. Contributions in Ellie's honor may be made to Twin Lakes Church. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 16th, 2017 at 2pm at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Drive, Aptos California.
