Rosejoanne Maria Cirincione of Santa Cruz (born July 9, 1942) passed away on May 1st surrounded by friends and family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. As a longtime advisor and councilor to students at UCSC, she infused her work with wisdom, grace and compassion; she loved her work and in return was deeply loved by her advisees.
Rosejoanne is survived by her devoted daughter, Joy Melina, and three amazing grandchildren: Eva, Mia, and Hunter. She also leaves loving brothers, Dominic and Joseph Cirincione of Los Angeles; sisters-in-law, Linda and Susan; and nieces, Lisa and Julie; and nephew, Andrew - all deeply in love with their aunt "Babe."
Rosejoanne was a bright light and a loving force in the lives of all those she touched.
