So sorry that I didn't know you had passed. I remember you well as you were my partner in crime when we worked together at the UCSC Career Center. You were always a shining light to me. I will always remember you. Love Linda Carole.

What a beautiful picture of Rose! We will remember her sweet spirit, generosity, and love of life! We shared many wonderful dinners together with Rose and Dan and Shelly Hammer. Her cooking was heavenly, her company a delight. We will always remember her joyful laughter and playful spirit.
Joy was the center of her life. We were not fortunate enough to meet the grandchildren, but I can only guess how they lit up her life!
May the family find comfort in all the wonderful memories of Rose. She was dear to all who knew her!
We send our love and blessings to you all.
Rocky and Kathy Arola,
Corralitos

As a former professor at UCSC, I had the pleasure of knowing Rosie very well. We worked together, we went out to eat together and laughed hard together. May her soul rest in peace and my condolence to her daughter and brothers and the rest of her family..

My condolences to Rosejoanne's family. How sad to read of her passing. I met Rosejoanne at UCSC where we both worked and although our paths crossed infrequently, every time was a delight. Her warmth, exuberance and dedication to the students she helped were always present. A truly lovely human being.

If you ever had the opportunity to do something kind for Rosejoanne you would soon find your kindness returned ten-fold.
Rosejoanne was, and is, a great spirit. Her zest for life, love of family, devotion to friends, and generous heart are unmatched.
My sadness at her passing and deepest sympathies are extended to Joy, Eva, Mia and Hunter. Also to her brothers Dominic and Joseph and to her extended family. She spoke often and lovingly of all of you.
She will be held in my heart and greatly missed.

The picture says it all. Dressed stylishly and enjoying life to the fullest.
I do not have a photo of Rosejoanne so I am including a different sort of photo of her. Her handwritten recipe for her Chocolate Date cake which is incredible.
I am also including the "process" as well in case you would like to enjoy a piece.
Process:
1) Soak dates in a jar covered w/ boiling water-blend in food processor.
2) Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl (sift at least 1 x)
3) In electric mixing bowl combine all wet ingredients (including dates), beat 2 min-medium speed
4) Add sifted dry ingredients to wet and mix at medium speed until well blended (5 min)
5) Pour into greased & floured 2 rounds or one standard "lasagna" pan
6) Bake 35 min. Cool on rack
In Rosejoanne style she included her favorite baking flour and chocolate, noting that they could be found in Santa Cruz at Shoppers Corner
Flour: Antimo Caputo Naples Baking Flour
Chocolate: Drost cacao from Holland
Anyone reading this who knew Rosejoanne understands the significance that food had in her Love and Creativity.
All my love,
Nancy Wolosyn

What a beautiful woman, inside and out! I had the pleasure of
teaching Rosejoanne both Cajun dancing and French. She danced with us at our wedding in 1994! I share the sadness of all her loved ones. Joy, you are the expression of her joy in life!

My sincere condolences on the passing of Rosejoanne.
I first met her in 1989 when we were both volunteering for KRUZ, the local origination T.V. station. She was a field news reporter and I was one of her cameramen.
She was a great interviewer. She knew how to elicit answers and keep the interview on topic. She was good with people, always respectful and professional.
I will miss her smile.

It saddens me that the first opportunity after many years to communicate with my former teacher, Dom, and my fellow boarder, Joe. is this occasion of their great loss. I only met Rosejoanne once,, years ago, but I remember her as a warm and charming person. My deepest condolences to the family.
