Dear Bucher Family,
I was surprised and deeply saddened by the news of Tommy's recent demise. I just saw the obituary today.
I immediately thought back to the great teams that Tom was such an integral part of. His athleticism and competitive zeal allowed him to be continually successful while competing against opponents of far greater physical stature.
Most important, however, was his upbeat sense of humor and his infectious optimism that shone through all of his endeavors.
I am sorry to have missed his memorial service. He will be sorely missed by me.
