Obituary of Gordon Dudley
Please share a memory of Gordon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gordon passed away unexpectedly at 89 after he spent his last happy day doing what he enjoyed most, which included taking his daily walk on the Santa Cruz Wharf. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Carol, stepdaughter Shelly, (Mark), grandsons Mathew and Gregory, daughters Shari, (George), Caroline and Julie, sisters Dorothy and Hazel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was active all of his life - lumberjack, competitive swimmer, marathoner and avid golfer. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. Gordon was musical and played guitar and loved to dance - he could not be kept off the dance floor! An accountant, Gordon was sharp with numbers and detail. He translated that to the many works of art he created in his later years. Services are scheduled for 11am, Saturday March 1 at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Gordon's name to Twin Lakes Church for their 20/20 Vision Project would be appreciated.
