Obituary of Elizabeth Marie Maire

Elizabeth M. Maire, 93, passed away in Santa Cruz on Monday. She is survived by her brother, David (Tere) and son, Kevin Frembling, all of Santa Cruz, and her sister, Joyce Trickel of Placerville. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Charles T. Maire, who passed away in 1984. Born in Tonopah,NV, she was raised in Texas. She later received her teaching credentials from San Jose State in 1947. She taught at Soquel Elementary 1947-1952, Scotts Valley Elementary 1952-1965, and Soquel until retiring in 1977. She was also a member, and Worthy Matron (1967) of the Idlewild Chapter of the Eastern Star.
