Obituary of Marissa Miller

Marissa Miller, age 43 passed away on June 17th, 2024. She was born on May 31st, 1981, in Mt. View California, and lived for many years in San Jose, Capitola and Aptos California. She attended Del Mar High School and San Jose Community College. Marissa was a beloved member of her family and community. She was a kind, compassionate and loving person who always wanted to care for and lift those around her. In times of crisis or trouble she never hesitated to reach out and help those in need. She helped many in her community during COVID and during the floods that impacted the Santa Cruz area. Marissa’s light touched everyone she met and will always shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She had a beautiful way of making everyone around her laugh and feel so special. Her smile sparkled when she was with those she loved and cared for. Marissa loved and was loved deeply by her family and friends. Marissa was a cherished daughter of Robin and James Carriere, and a beloved sister to Sara and Bobby Vasquez, and Andy Carriere. She was a dedicated and loving mama to her kitties Ralph and Louie. They were the light of Marissa's life, and she loved them both so very much. She found so much joy in raising and taking care of them and would often share pictures of them hugging and cuddling.
