My condolences go to the family. I work with Rich as an assistant coach back in a day at Scotts Valley Pop Warner his son Todd was on the team when I was coaching later, when I was coaching in Santa Cruz, His grandson, Todd’s son had played for me. It’s a lot of fun years and great memories Richard Will be missed
I’m so blessed and thankful to have had the opportunity to know this amazing man as we call “Coach”…. His love for the boys on the SVHS golf team was so evident in the way he lead, taught and came along side of them to help with their golf technique. He showed he cared in so many ways. At 87 years old, Coach was still impacting these boys lives in such a positive way. He was an inspiration to us all. He will greatly be missed! Never forget Coach Hager! Love, Patrice
I had coach Hagen as a coach right out of high school back in the late 70's when I played Babe Ruth, him and Coach Gibbons were two of my favorites. Couple of nice jovial guys. I wish I would have known he was still coaching up at SV, I would have taken in a few games and visited with him. Terrible to lose track and miss opportunities now passed. Sorry for your loss Todd.
