Harold Moorhead Obituary

Harold passed away peacefully at his home on February 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Harold and his wife were lifelong residents of the San Lorenzo Valley for 48 years. He was a meat butcher extraordinaire for 40 years. He worked as the Manager at Alpha Beta in Santa CA, then moved to the Ben Lomond Market.

Harold carved his way through life with a relentless positivity that left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. He embraced the great adventure of existence with a zest for all things unconventional.

Harold’s passions were diverse, he found solace in the mysterious allure of alligators, the animal planet, and the thrilling tales of sci-fi movies. The tranquility of his garden, and the sizzle of his culinary creations. Whether planting 200 tomato plants or concocting a masterpiece in the kitchen, his love for life was contagious.

Harold’s light continues to shine through his legacy of love and laughter in all those he left behind. Harold and his wife Christine spent 48 years living in the San Lorenzo Valley and were proud to call the SLV Community

their home!

He is survived by his devoted wife Christine, their enduring bond lasting an impressive 53 years. His brother Phillip (and family), daughters Kellie and Jenni, and grandchildren Caden, Tatum, William, Ethan, and Owen. He was preceded in death by his mother Jenny, father Bud, and daughter Holly.

As we bid farewell to this Sicilian with a heart of gold, let us remember the joy he brought, the laughter he shared, and the unique flavors he added to our lives. May his memory be a feast for the soul and a reminder to savor every moment!

Harold’s celebration of life will be held on February 18, 2024, at the Bear Creek Community Center located at 15685 Forest Hill Drive Boulder Creek, CA from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
