Philip Sapiens Obituary
Phil Sapiens, 55, of Santa Cruz, CA passed away suddenly while at work on
January 31,2024 due to complications from hypertension.
Phil was born on September 19,1968 in Salinas, California. In 2000, Phil moved to Santa Cruz where he met Genesis, and this is where they raised their family.
Phil worked for the City of Santa Cruz for over 20 years and was a trusted and loved co-worker to many and a member of SEIU.
Phil liked to barbecue, camp, and spend time with his friends and family.
Phil was predeceased by his father, Hermando Sapiens and his mother, Obdula Medina. He is survived by his partner, Genesis (Jenny) Peck, and their two sons, John Parker Sapiens (JP) and Damian James Sapiens (DJ) and his four siblings, Manual, Yolanda, Mario and his twin sister, Theresa and also numerous cousins and nephews.
