In Loving Memory of Vincent Earl Brown "Broker to the Rockstars"
Vincent Earl Brown, born on July 18th, 1940, in Santa Cruz, embarked on his final journey on September 20th, 2023. Born to Genevive Brown and Thomas Brown of Santa Cruz, he left behind a legacy of love, adventure, and community impact.
From a young age, Vince displayed a profound love for nature and animals, even rescuing skunks and other wild animals. His passion for the outdoors led him and his faithful companion, Rex, on long hikes through the scenic Cave Gulch. These adventures forged a bond with nature that would stay with him throughout his life.
In 1964, Vince founded Thunderbird Real Estate, a venture that remains in operation, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and vision. His commitment to community development was evident in his efforts to revitalize downtown Soquel, where he played a pivotal role in restoring historic buildings.
Another of Vince's philanthropic endeavors includes helping establish the Young at Heart Association alongside musician Sean Seman. Together, they worked towards bringing music to confined Senior citizens.
Locally known as the "Broker to the Rock Stars," Vincent's charisma and business acumen attracted notable clients, including Kenny Loggins, Jackson Browne, and Graham Nash. His influence was not just confined to the real estate market but resonated in the music industry as well.
Ranch World, Vincent's 100-acre estate in Aptos, was not just a home but a venue for elaborate gatherings. Known for his extravagant and sometimes wild parties, Vincent created a space where friends, family, and clients alike could come together to celebrate life and its vibrant moments.
Vince is survived by his Sister June Howard, two sons, Vincent Brown Jr. and Brandon Brown, and his cherished grandchildren, Kristen De Luca and Cameron Brown. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his impact on the community will be felt for generations to come.
In honoring Vincent Earl Brown, we remember a man who not only built a successful business but also built bridges between people, fostering a sense of belonging and joy in the world around him. May his adventurous spirit and love for life inspire us all to live with purpose and passion.
