Obituary of Barbara Jeanne Pinard

Those who bring sunshine to the lives others cannot keep it from themselves: Sir James Barrie Barbara passed away peacefully surrounded by prayers and love on November 21, 2022. She was born in Michigan to Rolla and Daisy Shaffer. Barbara married Alfred Pinard on April 10, 1976, who predeceased her, he was the love of her life! Barbara and Alfred established Capitola Treasures in 1979 and that was the child they had together. They cherished and nurtured it until they retired. She was also very blessed to have been in a loving partnership with Grant Tcheireira, who also predeceased her, in her later life. Barbara had four children and three stepchildren and treated them all as her own. Barbara was the eldest sister of 7 and a beloved aunt to many. She was a world traveler in her later life. She also became an avid golfer and loved the ladies at Valley Gardens Golf Course in Scotts Valley. She is survived by many loving family and friends who will cherish her memory forever. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to, Watsonville Senior Center, Meals on Wheels or Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
