Rachel Marie Grant, 24, of Groveland, California, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 after a fatal car accident. She was born in Los Gatos, California, on November 15, 1997, to Robert Grant and Stacee Akins. Rachel graduated from Monte Vista Christian School in 2016. She was a retail supervisor at Evergreen Lodge in Groveland, California, where she lived and worked and was very loved by the team. She was a vibrant, loving, free spirit and full of life. She loved singing and dancing and animals, especially her doggy, Dash. Rachel loved drawing, being out in nature, and spending time with her family and friends. She was kind, compassionate, and ready to help those in need. Her boundless spirit touched everyone that she encountered. Her infectious smile, enthusiasm, and humor brought joy to all who knew and loved her. Rachel was a vibrant soul full of life, fun, and promise. As a child, she especially loved to boogie board at the beach in Santa Cruz, California, with her mother and older brothers. Rachel was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cousin. Rachel leaves behind her father, Robert Grant; stepfather, Stephen Akins; mother, Stacee Akins; two older brothers, Nathan and Ryan Grant; and younger siblings, Samuel and Annabelle Akins. Rachel’s graveside service will be at Oakwood Memorial Park, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, CA Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 2 PM.
