Valerie Robinson was a loving caring Mother, Grandmother, and friend. She left this world in peace at home with her family by her side November 14th, 2021.
Valerie was born to Joseph Louis Robinson and Earnestine Brantley on February 16th, 1960, in Santa Cruz Ca. She was in the band at Santa Cruz High School. After graduating, Valerie enrolled in a Dental assistant program in San Jose Ca. She then realized she loved to help people, graduated from San Jose City College, and transitioned into a Case Manager working for the Office of Supportive Housing Behavioral & Health Service Department of Santa Clara County.
Valerie is survived by her son, Tyerell Newton; grandson, Elijah Newton; and her mother, Earnestine Brantley, all of Santa Cruz, California.
Valerie loved going on Vacations spending time with friends hiking and sightseeing. She loved going shopping with her mother at least once a week and was known by many as little miss Hollywood. She was the best movie critic as she loved streaming and watching movies endlessly. She loved spending time with her grandson and attending all his sporting events. She was a loyal lifelong 49er and Warriors fan, as she loved her Bay Area sport teams. She loved good old school music especially R&B Classics. She loved going for walks in the early am along the ocean in Santa Cruz Ca. She was known for posting the most beautiful pictures on social media of vacations with friends and family. She loved rising up early Sunday mornings to watch her Gospel and church programs. Valerie was a beautiful courageous woman always looking to help people even in there down moments of life.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on January 29th 2022, at the Peace United Church of Christ 900 High St, Santa Cruz, Ca 95060. Following the service there will be a Repast/Potluck at Harvey West Park Clubhouse 326 Evergreen St, Santa Cruz Ca.
