Obituary of Kenneth H. Kettler

Kenneth H. Kettler died peacefully in his home on June 26, 2021 at the age of 91. He was born August 11, 1929, on a farm in Keeler, Michigan to Herman and Daisy Kettler. After graduating from high school in Dowagiac Michigan in 1947, Kenneth later served in the United States Army from June 1951 to March 1953. He spent the year of 1952 in Korea. After meeting his wife, Mary Ellen Walker, in January 1953, Ken was married September 1953, and they moved back to Michigan. He returned to California in 1959, living out his life in Santa Cruz. Ken and Mary had four children: Kenneth Jr., Virginia, Joseph and Bill. He also had nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Following 30 years with the US Postal Service, Ken retired in December 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (2018), his sister, Ruby (2003) and son, Bill (2016).
