Anne LeBlond Harding, 91, passed away at her home in Scotts Valley, California, on November 9, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 18, 1929, to Richard Emmett LeBlond and Mildred Ziegler LeBlond.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Harding, her son Perry Harding, and her brothers Richard and Daniel LeBlond. She is survived by her daughter Renée of Scotts Valley and sons Ian of San Mateo and Edward of Chester, California. Anne is also survived by her grandchildren Katharine and Claire Harding of San Mateo, California, and Richard, William and James Harding, of Thousand Oaks, California. She is also survived by her great-grandsons Stephen and Perry Harding, of Thousand Oaks. She is also survived by her sister Mimi LeBlond Liggett of Raleigh, North Carolina, and brother Charles LeBlond of Cincinnati.
Anne graduated from The Masters School and Briarcliff College. She was presented to Cincinnati society as a debutante in 1947. She and Alan married in 1953. After raising her four children, Anne had a career as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was an avid traveler, culminating in an around-the-world cruise. Anne was a master watercolor artist of singular talent, featured in many Santa Cruz Watercolor Society art shows. She joyfully sang soprano in the Cabrillo Choir and the Montevalle Chorale. She delighted in visiting with her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was a strong supporter of charities, notably Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and Okizu. An online memorial is planned. Please contact [email protected] for information. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Okizu.org, supporting families with childhood cancer.
