Obituary of Clayton Robert Gross

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clayton Robert Gross, 26, of Scotts Valley, CA on Friday, August 31, 2018. Clayton loved the outdoors and was a passionate musician that enjoyed traveling the country by bicycle. He played and shared his music both here in Santa Cruz and everywhere he went where he was quick to make friends with locals and fellow travelers alike. Clayton is survived by his father John Gross; mother Beth Hyytinen; siblings Lauren Stalcup (Matt), Peter Gross; Grandmothers Teresa Gross, Marcia Hyytinen; nephew, Henry Stalcup; niece Alpha Stalcup; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Community Covenant Church, 2700 El Rancho Dr., Santa Cruz, CA on January 5, 2019 at 1:00pm.  In Clayton’s honor, in lieu of flowers, please share something with others that you are passionate about. Clayton loved to share things that moved him, whether a song, a certain artist, a beautiful view, a walk in the woods, a fun adventure, some deep thoughts and more. Clayton was loved beyond measure, may he rest in peace.
