Obituary of June Virginia Farlin

June Farlin passed away on Wednesday Jan 16th at her home in Aptos. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts to Jim & Agnes Paye. She was raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan and attended North Kansas City High and graduated from Lakewood High in Southern California. During her life June lived in many places including: Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, California, Texas, Nevada, New Jersey, & Louisiana. June was a homemaker until her children were grown, secretary to the Headmaster at St. Lawrence Academy and also purchasing and accounting at SunWorld Airlines. June's parents emigrated to America from Belgium and she traveled there to visit family and also visited France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, and the UK. She always said her favorite trip was when she and her husband, Pat, toured Australia and New Zealand and snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. June loved knitting, sewing, and many games like mahjong, board games, and especially, cards. She enjoyed weekly bridge club known as Newcomers. June supported fundraising for women's education through the philanthropic sisterhood P.E.O. where she served as President and Treasurer for two years each. Her greatest achievement, as she often said, was her role as wife and mother and raising three compassionate children. June is survived by her spouse Pat Farlin, married 57 years; sons, Mark & Kent Farlin, daughter Christine Farlin, grandsons, Sean & James Farlin, granddaughters Holly & Jessica Farlin and Hannah Becker and 5 grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 2 nephews. No public service is planned.
