Obituary of Mark Sean Arruiza

Mark was a wonderful friend and son who touched many lives with his friendly personality. Mark died peacefully at his home in Los Gatos, CA with his parents at his bedside. He left us much to soon. Mark was born in Anaheim, CA and graduated from Aptos High School in 1982. He moved to Los Gatos, CA in 1983 and held various bartender positions including sixteen years with Embassy Suites Hotel in Milpitas, CA, his last employer. He was a gifted communicator with always a joke or story to tell his customers and hotel associates. Mark, with his easy going personality, made many friends among the local patrons, international travelers and the hotel staff. He was liked by all who knew him. Mark is survived by his father Alfonso Arruiza, stepmother Sandra and mother Priscilla Swanson, aunts and uncles Carlos and Theresa Pailma, Daniel and Elizabeth Arruiza, Douglas and Barbara Swanson, Josefa Arruiza, Juanita Ryan, Ofelia Arruiza, and numerous cousins. The pleasure of his company will be missed by family and friends. A memorial Catholic service will be held at Saint Julie's Catholic Church, 6410 Cottle Rd, San Jose, CA on December 22nd at 1:00. A reception in the parish hall will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Mark.
