Obituary of Doris Joan Elliston

Joan Elliston left to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 6, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne with whom she was married for 64 years. Joan is also survived by a son-in-law Jeff Miller of Sweet Home Oregon, three children; Adam, Elizabeth and Nathan Miller and three great grand daughters all of Oregon. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Miller and son David Elliston as well as her parents Jack & Lucille Parrish. Joan lived in Capitola for 60 years enjoying walks with Wayne along the cliffs overlooking Monterey Bay. She had many hobbies including sewing, knitting, camping and boating as well as her devotion as a great homemaker, wife and mother. Joan was very active at Twin Lakes Church working in the church library and singing in the choir. Friends are invited to gather for a memorial service on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Twin Lakes Church 2701 Cabrillo College Drive in Aptos.
