Obituary of Jack Edmund Johansen

On October 15, 2012 Jack Edmund Johansen peacefully entered into rest. Jack was born on May 2, 1920 in Scotts Valley, CA to Janus and Olga Johansen. After spending his youth in the Santa Cruz County, Jack attended Cal Poly. After graduating, Jack was employed by PanAm Airlines, where during World War II, Jack spent four years interred as a POW in San Tomas, Phillipines as a civilian. After being released, Jack relocated back to the Santa Cruz County, where he ran his own airplane maintenance and repair shop in SkyPark Airport in Scotts Valley until 1983. Jack's passions included his love for airplanes and automobiles, as well as being a lifelong supporter of the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco 49ers. Jack was preceded in death by Grace, his devoted wife of 57 years. He is survived by his two cousins, Evelyn Joliff and Lelend Mogensen, as well as 4 nieces and grand-nieces and 7 nephews and grand-nephews.
