Obituary of Allen Paige Stoner

Allen Paige (Al) Stoner Sept. 8, 1929 - Sept. 21, 2012 Resident of Watsonville Allen Paige (Al) Stoner, 83, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. Al was born in Brownwood, Texas on Sept. 8, 1929. Al moved with his family to Tulare, CA at age 4, where he met and married Carol Ethridge in 1949. Al and Carol raised their 3 children in Tulare and moved to Watsonville in 1968. Al was a truck driver for a Watsonville produce company for many years and he worked as a sales agent in the real estate office of Ralph Oliver before retiring. Al is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol Stoner, his 3 children Joanne Etheridge, Allen Stoner, Jr., and Bruce Stoner. Al has 4 surviving grandchildren, Daydra Williams, Brian Stoner, Colin Hedges, and Broghan Hedges, and 7 great-grandchildren. Al is predeceased by his grandson Gerrad Stoner. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial 3301 Paul Sweet Rd Santa Cruz. Phone 475-2464. Visitation will be at Oakwood Chapel on Thursday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and on Friday Sept. 28th from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 at Oakwood Memorial.
