Dorothy Jeanne Hill, a loving mother, a loyal grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother, passed away June 20, 2012 in Anderson California. Dorothy was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Homer and Constance Burbick. Her family moved to California in 1947, and she married Terry Erickson who passed away in 1998. Her second husband, Don Hill, passed away in 1988. Dorothy raised her family for 30 years in the family home on Otis Street in Santa Cruz, California, where many happy memories were made. She worked as a cook for Saga/Marriott's at UCSC for 15 years before retiring in 1995. After retirement she moved to Anderson, California to enjoy a rural setting and relax in its beauty.

Dorothy is survived by her son, David Erickson, and daughter in-law, Betty, of South Lake Tahoe, California; daughter, Debbie Dillingham, and son in-law, Scott, of Santa Cruz; daughter, Kim Nicholas, and son in-law, Bob, of Anderson; daughter, Patricia Erickson, and son in-law, Mike, of Anderson; and step daughter,, Katherine Stoltey, and son in-law, Dave, of Santa Rosa, California; her grandson, William Keller III, of Santa Cruz; and her great grandson, Andrew Keller, of Santa Cruz. She also leaves behind an extended network of family and friends from all over.

When we think of Dorothy, we will remember many good times at her home on Otis St. with family, friends, food and fun. A memorial service will be held at 1pm, August 25, 2012 at Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz. A reception will follow at Harvey West Park.
