Carol Yvonne Coe Obituary

Carol Yvonne Coe passed away on Sunday, July 8th of respiratory failure. Carol will

forever live in our hearts as a thoughtful, caring, vibrant, and sincere spirit who simply

lit up a room, with her beautiful blue eyes, and infectious smile whenever she walked in.

Carol was born in Colorado but lived most of her adult life in Santa Cruz/Capitola, CA and Lahaina, HI. She was raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Loveland High School in Colorado. She worked in Portland, Oregon and Santa Barbara, California before her successful career as a Marketing Administrator at Sun Microsystems in Mountain View, CA. Carol worked at Sun Microsystems for 8 years. During these years, Carol met, married, and began creating a beautiful life with husband Bob Coe. She went on to share her talents by chairing fundraising events for San Jose State Alumni, Santa Cruz Chapter and she was recently and integral member of the fundraising team for Lahaina Library and KeAlalele, and the Maui education fund. She was an active member of the Lahaina Yacht Club and a partner in Capitola's Paradise Beach Grille Restaurant. She was a 27-year survivor of breast cancer.

Carol loved the ocean and beach, nights out with her family and friends, and a

passion for interior design which led her to build her dream home on Maui.

Her design recently won an award for "Best in State of Hawaii 2012". Her home was the place that her love of the ocean, family & friends, and design could

come together.

Carol is survived by her loving family; husband, Bob Coe, proud and devoted son,

Jason Kockx of Aptos, daughter and son in law, Heidi and Chris Thomas of San

Jose, adoring grandchildren, Austin, Giulia, and Hunter Thomas of San Jose, a loving

niece, Darcy Belardi, her husband Ken and son Joey Belardi of Aptos, and her

beloved daughter-in-law Valerie Kockx of Santa Cruz.
