Obituary of C. David Futch

It is with great sadness that the family of C. David Futch announces his passing after a battle with lung cancer, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the age of 52 years. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Leanne and his children, Charles and Cheyanne. Dave will also be lovingly remembered by his mother Juanita Futch, by his sisters, Sheri and Crystal, brothers Michael and Ronald. Dave was predeceased by his sister Teresa, and by his father, Chuck Futch. A native of Felton, California, Dave served as a volunteer Fire Fighter, Captain and Battalion Chief on the Zayante Fire Department for 32 years. In 1981, at sixteen he began his career with the Ford Motor Company where he worked as a transmission technician until his illness forced him into retirement. A Funeral Service in memory of David will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean St., Santa Cruz, CA 95060, with interment following at Felton Cemetery Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of David Futch to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
