Obituary of Donald Herman King

Donald Herman King Dec 8, 1924 0 June 14, 2012 resident of Santa Cruz Donald Herman King, a resident of Santa Cruz since 1961, passed away on Thursday at a local convalescent hospital, he was 87. Born December 8, 1924 in Clinton, Utah Donald was the oldest son of Herman and Opal Walters King Williamson. One brother, Rulon King of Sparks, NV preceded him in death in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bonnie Crismon King; son Donald L. King (Wynne) of Ephrata, WA; daughter Deborah Medina (Michael) of Santa Cruz; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren to mourn his loss. He is also survived by half-sister Diana Williamson Arnott of Santa Cruz; and three sisters, Dorothy (Don) Herren of Auburn, WA; Bonnie (Don) Santos of Rancho Mirage; Pamela Rackstraw (Ken) McGreevy of Grass Valley. Donald graduated from Davis High, attended Utah & Weber State and Cabrillo College. He was a real estate broker/land developer. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying and passing his passion for hunting and fishing on to his grandsons. Donald was a life long member/elder of the LDS church; WWII veteran (Pharmacist's Mate Third Class), a member of the SC Board of Realtors and member of the Masonic Lodge #38. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Oakwood Memorial Park 3301 Paul Sweet Road Santa Cruz.
