Obituary of Siobhan Marie O'Neill

Siobhan O'Neill, beloved by her family and her many friends, quietly passed away in her sleep. She is survived by her too numerous to count friends, her sisters Pat and Peggy O'Neill, brother Michael O'Neill and his wife Sherry, nieces Erin O'Neill and Josephine O'Neill and nephew Michael John "MoJo" O'Neill, and, of course, her cat, Princess Peekaboo. Siobhan was known for her quick wit, fashion sense, genius card playing, and as a collector of all that was blue and white. She enjoyed traveling, especially the annual vacation to Mexico with her "gal pals" known as the "Unmanageables." She was also known for her thousands upon thousands of acts of kindness and her grace, integrity, and compassion. She will be missed by all far more than she could have ever imagined. Native to Los Gatos, Siobhan graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1974. She went to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Her lifetime career was with the City of Santa Cruz. Siobhan spent her time with the City working in many positions. She ended her career with the City's Public Works Department when she retired just last May. A Memorial Service celebrating Siobhan's life will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 10:30a.m. at The Oakwood Chapel at 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz. An Irish wake follows.
