PJ was my "wingman" on the many journeys we took together across the USA. We shared many a drink/room/joke/road. He was always (ultimately) a positive happy person, at least on the outside. I know on the inside he had his "demons", and I helped him wrestle with them from time-to-time. He was a rider's rider. He knew how to handle his machine(s). Whether astride his Buell, old panhead, or his trusty Road Glide, he could ride. His Motto was: "Ride fast! Take Chances." While he did ride fast, he seemingly didn't take chances he couldn't control. He had a fine touch on the bars. I miss him dearly. Ride on mi Amigo....Vaya Con Dios.

I was a Jolly Green pilot, shot down and captured in 1965. So I was otherwise occupied when Ken was flying as a PJ in the early 70's. I met him at the Jolly Green reunion he attended in 2017 and got to hear first hand of some of his outstanding work as a PJ from Ken, and from those who flew with him. We talked of the pain he carried. It was a heavy burden he bore. It is my honor to claim the kinship with Ken as "a brother in arms".
May he have peace!

I met Ken at Eglin AFB in 1970, I believe he was in PJ Class 71-3A. He had an outstanding PJ Career, bringing Competence and Professionalism to his work.
It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things I do, "That Others May Live.".
My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends.

Always looked forward to hanging around my cousin "Kenny" growing up. The visits were infrequent and never lasted long but I will always remember him fondly.
Proud of his service to our country and my deepest sympathies to his family. May he rest in Peace.

I will always remember the first time I met P.J. He and Hutch roared up on their bikes for the first meeting of Not This Time Vets at the Heavenly Cafe. They became loyal supporters. P.J.'s help, advice and wisdom were invaluable. I also have a happy memory of the two of us under the hood of the Camaro. I am proud to always call him my friend. I will miss him so very much. Forever proud of his service! My sincere and deepest sympathy to his family. God Bless.

Ken and I went Kayaking at Elkhorn Slough. We had a great time! He said he needed to do more of this kind of thing to get away from all the noise in his head. I enjoyed his sense of humor and his many stories, What he did in Viet Nam was amazing! After, we had some beers and shared some more stories. He will be missed! Frank Roest
