Born in Cornwall, England, at 9 months of age, Barbara immigrated to the United States with her parents and sister. She graduated with a B.S. in Education from Indiana State University. Barbara enjoyed a six-year career as a first grade teacher. After the births of her children, she embarked on a twenty-year retail career with J.C. Penney. In 1985, Barbara retired from J. C. Penney. Barbara loved her retirement! She enjoyed walking, Tai Ji, and socializing at the Louden Nelson Carnation Café and Grey Bears.
