Obituary of Vicki Lynn Weagle

Vicki Lynn Weagle, 57, of Santa Cruz, California passed away on December 24, 2017 after a prolonged, valiant battle with Huntington's disease. Vicki was born on March 21, 1960 in Pasadena, California to Mark Brooks and Patricia Barlow. Her family settled in San Jose when Vicki was 18 years old. She moved to Santa Cruz in 1999 to be close to her sons, Daniel and Marcus. Vicki, very much a kid at heart, loved spoiling children and animals. She also enjoyed nature, camping and going to the beach, and regularly rode her bike to the Capitola Wharf to fish with the locals. Vicki held a variety of occupations, including working in the photography department at Lockheed/NASA, the retail industry, and as a teacher's aide for many years. Vicki's path eventually led her to the dental field; after graduating from Bryman College she worked as a certified dental assistant. Vicki is survived by her two children, Daniel Weagle and Marcus Weagle, daughter-in-law, Sarah, grandson, Mason, her stepmother, Sandy Brooks and three siblings, Laura Starbird, Michele Crawford and Stephen Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Patricia, father, Mark and brother, Butch. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Vicki can conjure her laughter with little effort, were touched by her grace and will forever feel the warmth of her smile and love. Vicki - you were OUR sunshine. A Celebration of Life will be held in Santa Cruz, California in the Summer of 2018.
