Obituary of Robert L. Spears

Robert Spears of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born on October 13, 1930 to Norman and Una Spears in Lepanto, Arkansas. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and had been stationed in France, Thailand, Alaska, Vietnam and Turkey. He loved the D.C. area and enjoyed a second career as an engineer in Fairfax County, Virginia. He lived a life full of travel and love. He is survived by his loving daughter, Brenda L. Cloward (Michael); 2 grandchildren, Michelle Andre and Julia Beckstoffer; 2 great grandchildren, Ava and Maggie Andre; 3 brothers, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, O'Nell, and his second wife, Judith. The memorial service will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean St., Santa Cruz, CA 95060 on January 20, 2018 at 3:00pm.
