LaRue was a member of our local chapter, Theta, of Delta Kappa Gamma, a society of women educators. She was an example for us all, intelligent and kind,. And she was an awfully elegant lady. I still remember her arriving at one of our meetings, in style, in her Cadillac! LaRue was an inspiration to us young teachers. Her gentle yet straight-forward manner and wise words, spoken with that special accent, will live on in our memory of her. I offer my condolences to her family. And I will be there at her memorial.
