Obituary of Larry C Knapp

Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Surrounded by his dear friends and his wife Malou, Larry passed peacefully on Saturday July 8. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK but soon moved to Martinez, CA. There he grew up, became a high school basketball star and later graduated from UCB with a Masters in Fine Art. Larry taught Ceramics and Sculpture and later Computer-Assisted Drafting at Harbor High School for 30 years. He also worked as a building designer, contractor and developer. Considered thoughtful, kind and generous, he loved asking probing questions, and was especially good at catching fuzzy thinking and irrational conclusions. He forged deep and lasting connections with his friends. An astute student of human nature, Larry will be remembered and honored for his sheer goodness, and also for his special loving presence which continues to dwell in the hearts of those who knew him well. Larry is preceded in death by his two children, Kali and Loren, and survived by his wife of forty nine years, and by his grandson Drake McDonald and the rest of the McDonald family. A celebration of his life will be held at his home July 29, 2017 If you would like to offer condolences to the family, share your memories you may contact Malou at [email protected]
