Obituary of Judith Earlene Travis

Judith Earlene Travis of Live Oak, California passed away on January 31, 2017. She was 72 years of age. Judith's most memorable accomplishment was becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her career was built upon this foundation. Judith was the co-owner and administrator of the Travis Residential Care home for over 30 years. She continued her education allowing her to provide care, compassion, and activities to the many ladies that lived in the residential care home. Upon retiring, Judith continued to volunteer and work with the elderly. She volunteered for the Santa Cruz Ombudsman for many years. One of her other hobbies was crocheting. She would crochet baby blankets and donated them to local agencies to give to newborn babies. These past few years she enjoyed the company of her neighbors, attending holiday potlucks, bingo, crafts and other activities. Judith is survived by her brothers Jeff Travis and Richard Travis, sister-in-law Mary Travis, niece Cynthia Lusk and her husband Danny Lusk, her great-nephews Garrett Lusk and Russell Lusk, her cousin and close friend Shirley Sullivan, with many more family and friends who all love and remember her fondly. Judith was preceded in death in 1975 by her father Ernest Travis and in 2005 by her mother Ann Travis. Contributions may be made to the City of Hope 1055 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles, Ca 90017
