Obituary of Linda Mae Davis

Linda Mae Davis passed away on Sunday, January 15th at the age of 71. Mrs. Davis was born in Dayton, OH and moved to Santa Cruz with her parents in 1955. After graduating from Santa Cruz High in 1964, she remained in Santa Cruz, adopting a son and marrying David Davis in 1974. Linda worked in several professions, including real estate and nursing before settling in at Radiology Medical Group of Santa Cruz where she stayed for the final 23 years of her working life. Linda enjoyed music, movies, and was a voracious reader. She valued family above all else and was fiercely protective of those close to her. She was a swimmer and tennis player in her early life and still enjoyed the outdoors in her retirement years. She made several trips to the Hawaiian Islands and hoped to settle there someday. Linda is survived by her loving husband David Davis, son Johnnie Arnold, daughter-in-law Katie Arnold, granddaughter Charlotte Arnold, brothers Dennis Lewis and Tommy Lewis, sister-in-law Patricia Civitello, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Davis at Santa Cruz Memorial on Monday, January 23rd, at 10 A.M. Flowers may be sent to the chapel at SC Memorial. Donations in Linda's name to the American Lung Association are also appreciated.
