I met Bob when he played music with Mark Moore back in the early 1980's. He has been like a part of the family to Mark and to me. My prayers are with his family now. :hearts:

Bob played at our wedding back in 1999 backed by his longtime harmonica player and a fellow busker on a washtub base. We will never forget that amazing performance! We will all miss you.

First let me express my deepest condolences to the Lowery family at this sad yet hopeful time. I have two personal memories of Bob that I would like to share. Years ago I was attending a birthday party for a good friend's toddler. It was a beautiful day at Grant Street Park. At one point in the afternoon I needed to retrieve an item from my car and as I approached it I was entranced by some amazing, electric blues guitar emanating from a tree sheltered porch a few houses down. There was Bob, enjoying the day, sharing his music for any who cared to listen. I was only able to linger for a few minutes but the memory is one I've always treasured.
Another moment with Mr Lowery was aboard the Suntan Special excursion train from San Jose to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, on Saturday, May 18, 1996. Bob was part of the on board entertainment and he and his acoustic guitar milled with the passengers on that nostalgic journey. A favorite moment came as he improvised a piece to my 2 year old son Will as he sat perched on his grandpa Bill Reedy's lap. A wonderful moment.
Sincerely,
Dave Iermini
