Aloha!
I used to read the "Snuffy Smith" comics when I was a kid! :blush:
I ran across Snuffy's obituary here and wanted to leave some words of hope and encouragement for his family and friends,
It was never God's purpose that we would grow old and die like your dearest Snuffy did, when God put Adam and Eve in the Garden, they had an endless life of health and happiness set before them (Genesis 1:28).
Though they gave into the temptation set before them by Satan and messed things up for us, the Human race, this is only temporary, God has not given up on His original purpose: endless happy life on earth for all (Isaiah 55:10-11).
The Bible tells us that it is Satan himself that causes death (Hebrews 2:14) and that God sent his Son Jesus Christ to redeem us from death and destroy all the works of the Devil (1 John 3:8).
Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life. He that excercises faith in me will live even though he dies" - John 11:25.
With Jesus as head of God's Kingdom, resurrection from the dead and paradise conditions on earth will be restored,
So, until such time as you are reunited with a health and happy Suffy, it is my h one that you will find comfort and hope in these promises from the Bible,
