Obituary of Catherine Joanne Wiles

Catherine Joanne passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in Santa Cruz on Thursday, March 10, 2016. She was born and went to school in North Carolina. From there she married her high school sweetheart, Archie Wiles and set forth on their life and journey together starting in Long Beach, California. Since then she traveled and moved with her family all around the country, living in New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas and Arizona. Her family was her life as well as all of the numerous friends she made along the way. She was a God fearing woman who was very active in her Church wherever she lived and showed great love and compassion to everyone she met. She always wanted to be a missionary for Christ. She was a devoted wife, survived by her husband or 62 years, Archie Wiles; a precious mother to her five children: Robin Morrone of Boulder Creek, Jeff Wiles of Oroville, Laurie Bonjour of Atascadero, Shawn Wiles of Albuquerque, NM and Jamie (Rich) Booth of Sacramento; and a loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marie (Gary) Hutchins of North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. Love truly resided in her home from her all her life. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10 AM til 12 PM at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 with burial to follow at Santa Cruz Memorial Park.
