Ruth Susan "Sue" Milne Obituary

Sue was born in Duluth, MN to Byron and Anne Hustad, the 4th of 5 children. After graduating high school, Sue moved to Columbia, MO to attend Stephens College where she was a Delta Gamma sister. She went on to the University of Missouri and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After college she moved to San Fransico where she worked for the Department of the Navy, which gave her a chance to travel to many different places. While living in San Francisco, she met and married Lloyd Donald Milne. They moved Aptos in 1963 to raise their family of 3 daughters, Anne, Susan, and Margaret.

Sue was very active in her church and community. She was a charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, and was also active in the Church Women United, AAUW, and the Pajaro Valley Women's Shelter. In her spare time she loved to garden and read.

She is survived by her daughers, Anne Milne of New York and Susan Milne (Bill) of Santa Cruz and 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Will, Eddie and Mary, all of Santa Cruz County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, daughter Margaret and all 4 of her siblings.

Services were private. The family would like to thank the staff at the Maple House for all their loving care and kindness. Remembrances may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 9850 Monroe Ave, Aptos, CA 95003 or Santa Cruz Hospice, 940 Disc Dr, Scotts Valley, CA 95066
