Obituary of Dona Darlene Huckobey

Dona "Darlene" Coleman Huckobey Born 1934 in Medicine Park, OK.
Graduated Dos Palos High school class of 1952 where she met and married her high school sweetheart Darrell J Huckobey. Living in Fresno CA. together they had 2 children. Darlene went to beauty school and opened her own beauty studio to put herself through college.
A Fresno state graduate, she taught High School level Arts at Madera and Clovis High Schools for 10 years. Darlene and her husband also worked in Saudi Arabia for seven years where she again worked as an educator. During that time, they enjoyed travel and adventure around the world. She and her husband then owned and worked a cattle and poultry farm in Oklahoma before retiring in 2002 to Santa Cruz where her children and Grandchildren lived.
Darlene was a beautiful, artistic, compassionate person, always seeing the best in others and always ready to help those in need. She was dearly loved by her many friends around the world.
She was a role model, moral compass, and gave words of inspiration and wisdom to her children and grandchildren. An adored wife of 61 years, Darlene and Darrell knew that being, doing, seeing and feeling everything together was their key to everlasting love.
Darlene passed away May 5th 2015 and is survived by her beloved husband Darrell, her daughter and son-in-law Karsen and Devlin, son and daughter-in-law Derek and Polly, grandchildren Erica, Kalla, Weston and Ashland, great grandchildren Gavin and Raegan, and brothers Myron and Lee.
She will be missed by all that had the good fortune of knowing her, and will be in our hearts forever.
Private graveside services will be held. The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 16th at 2pm at the Santa Cruz Community Church followed by refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
