First saw JC play in 1977. WOW. He really got me fired up to play electric guitar.
So happy I had a chance to spealk to him last year. Boy, life is so fragile…Every moment is a gift.
Jeff sure was a gift to me… Always will be.

Our Thoughts Are With You...
The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers in the land
The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains
We are blessed to have known and loved Jeff as you have and are deeply saddened by his passing.
Thank you for the honor of including us in his memorial, see you Saturday Catt & Bill Laymon

So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. Blessings to Jeff and peace to his family and friends. Jeff sat in with me at The Crepe Place a few years back. I asked him to play acoustic guitar and I needed him to play quietly. He smiled and said "whatever you need Sharon". He was tasty and flawless and so polite all night long. I will miss him.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Jeff's family and loved ones for their loss. I first met Jeff in 2004 when he was playing with Larry Hosford at the Windjammer in Aptos. He was an amazing guitarist, just jaw-droppingly good. I was a little scared of him at first, but soon got over it when he grinned. That smile sure lit up his face. He had a great sense of humor. We played together in The Juvenators from 2008-2011. He and I also had a duo at Cafe Rio for a while. And he accompanied Jay Lingo, Steven Griswold and myself as Lo's Amigos for a few fun shows at Over the Hill Gang Saloon. At that time, we all knew that having Jeff play shows with us was a true honor. "I'm not worthy" and all that. But he was like that; always ready to play anywhere, anytime. He was encouraging, and such an inspiring musician to have the honor of playing with. On countless occasions, I witnessed his pure love of music, transferred into his amazing gift of playing the guitar, bringing joy to so many people.
I last saw him about a year ago. He said he and (long-time musical friend) Rick Hornbeck were playing in the Roadhouse Ramblers together. I was so glad to hear he was still playing. I'm sure that wherever he is now, he's jamming with his musical heroes and showing them a thing or two. I hope he has found peace. I will miss him. Jojo Fox
