Obituary of Josephine E. Bedard

Josephine Bedard passed away peacefully on November 29, 2014. Josephine grew up a Santa Cruz native, attending Soquel Elementary, before graduating from Santa Cruz High School, eventually spending time in Los Banos, Moss Landing and Ukiah before settling back down home. She became the Electronic Supervisor at General Dynamics, but held many other passions and hobbies as well, known to her friends and family as a woman of many hats; a cake baker, a dress maker, a house builder, a pilot, a gardener, president of the Cabrillo club, an active member of St. Joseph's Church, but perhaps most importantly, a devoted wife and a loving mother. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Leo, her children, Dianna, David, Lynn and Bruce and 12 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, on Saturday, December 13th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Battered Women's Shelter of Scotts Valley.
