Obituary of Jeanne Sue Martin

Jeanne S. Martin passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 29, 2014. She was the daughter of Harry and Verna Langland. Jeanne moved to Santa Cruz with her family in 1971. She resided in Live Oak for over forty years. Jeanne is survived by her two daughters; Joni Dunken (Michael) of Redding, Ca and Jennifer Van Natta (Owen) of Palo Alto, her siblings Carol Gowler, Joanni Bohm, John Langland and Micky Langland, her grandchildren Josiah Dunken, Tyler Dunken, Ryan Dunken, Emmy Dunken, Avery Van Natta and Sofie Van Natta and by her husband of many years, Robert Martin of Santa Cruz, CA. Jeanne worked at the Tampico Kitchen & Lounge in downtown Santa Cruz for 35 years and considered her co-workers family. She enjoyed greeting her customers year after year and took pride in in a job well done. Outside of work, Jeanne enjoyed reading and visiting with her friends and family at her beach house. Jeanne was a beloved grandmother, visiting her grandkids every week. She played an integral role in their lives. Jeanne was a kind, strong and thoughtful mother, wife, grammy and friend. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Park Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., with a reception to follow at Tampico Kitchen and Lounge, 822 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz.
