Obituary of Sharyon Ann Gibbs

Sharyon Ann Gibbs was born on September 23rd 1949 to Leila Wilson and James Gibbs. She unexpectedly passed on Nov 5th , 2014. She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. As a young adult she moved to Santa Cruz County where she resided for over 30 years. Sharyon attended college at Monterey Peninsula Technical College and Cabrillo Community College where she studied Nursing. She was a very passionate, caring and dedicated health care worker who to this day is remembered by patients and employers alike for her empathy and professionalism. This passion extended to the love for her family, she always provided a shoulder to lean on in times of need. She was the life of the party with her outgoing personality and great sense of humor. Sharyon also had a great love for animals and deeply cared for her beloved dogs; "Quazar" and "Dutchess" as well as her various birds and fish throughout the years. She was a devoted mother, sister and friend and will be missed by all. She is survived by her brother Billy Kenneth Davis, her sons, Kevin Johnson and Nicholas Gott Davis, her daughters, Ioka Black and Shavana Turay, her beloved grandchildren, Alicia Davis, Justin Black, Lelia Black, Gabrielle Black, Shaday Turay and Lisa Turay as well as her Great grandchildren, Matthew Davis Coleman, Lawrence Luna as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, November 13th at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, all friends and family are welcome.
