Obituary of Sharon L. Jones

Sharon Jones peacefully passed away in the quiet of her home with her three children and a small team of caregivers by her side on September 24th. Sharon lived at Paradise Villa in Santa Cruz where caregivers served her well and became her trusted friends. Sharon was born in Los Angeles CA to Arthur and Lorena Rogers. She was blessed to love and marry two wonderful men during her lifetime. She outlived them both. Sharon and Howard L McBeth married in 1950 and had four children together; Pat (Baer), Ryan (McBeth, who proceeded her in death), Suzanne (McIntosh) and Scott (McBeth). She married Aaron L Jones in 1974. She had 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The first part of Sharon's life was spent raising her four children while she helped to build and support SM Painting Co with her husband Howard. She enjoyed sewing, reading, golf and gardening. Sharon was active in her children's PTA groups, youth sports and bridge clubs. During her second marriage, Sharon and Aaron enjoyed extensive travel together. They proudly shared photos and stories of their many adventures to faraway places and across the US. They eventually settled in Bass Lake CA where they opened their home for family holidays and summer visits with grandchildren. At Sharon's request, services will be private. She is laid to rest at Santa Cruz Memorial along with her first husband Howard and son, Ryan.
