Obituary of Stephen Michael Hill

Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Thursday, September 11th, Stephen Michael Hill passed away at the age of 28 in Dominican Hospital, embraced by loved ones. Though his life was short lived, he left an impact on people he loved for a lifetime. Stephen was born June 5th, 1986 in San Jose and became a Santa Cruz local at the age of one. He was a gifted athlete and enjoyed many outdoor activities including spending days at the beach, surfing, boating, camping, and just being around the ocean. Stephen excelled in basketball, and while attending Santa Cruz High School, he took part the 2005 State Championship Team. Wise beyond his years, Stephen excelled and graduated early. Stephen touched many lives with his open heart, quick wit and gentle spirit, but perhaps none more than his daughter, Hanalee Rose Hill; she was, and is, the very light of his life. As a devoted father, dear friend and loving son, Stephen was compassionate and selfless; his laughter will forever be missed by those who were blessed to know him. Stephen is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Hill; brother, William Hill IV; and his daughter, Hanalee Rose Hill. We pray that Stephen is reunited and guided to the gates of heaven by his father, William R. Hill Jr. A Celebration of Stephen's life, Saturday, November 8th at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Dr, Aptos, CA 95003 at 11am. With that smile on his face, his journey continues in our hearts forever.
