Obituary of Sandra Rae Beddow

Sandra Rae Beddow passed away on Sept 22 after a valiant battle with cancer. The eternal optimist, she touched many lives with her compassionate nature, her sunny disposition and her great love of life and family. Sandy was born in San Francisco, CA, a fourth generation native Californian and Daughter of the American Revolution. She graduated from Carlmont High School in San Carlos and married her high school sweetheart, Ken. She raised three children, Lisa, K.C. and Mickey, before embarking on a successful career in banking and then hospitality. She was employed by Bank of America as a manager and personal banker in Ben Lomond, Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, Saratoga and headed up the conversion team for Bank of America in Honolulu, HI. Before retirement, she worked as the Director of the Molokai Visitor Assoc. She was an active volunteer throughout her life, including PTA president, Homeowner Assoc. President, Habitat for Humanity volunteer (HI), and most recently as a docent for one of the sea turtle refuges in Hawaii. Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Ken; children Lisa and son-in-law, Rick Fletcher of Aptos, K.C. and daughter-in-law, Maureen Beddow of Felton, and Mickey and daughter-in-law, Mary Beddow of Watsonville. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to an open house celebration of her life on Sat, Oct 18th, 12noon - 6pm, at the family homestead.
