Obituary of Agnes Marie Swierczek

Please share a memory of Agnes to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Agnes (Aggie) was born in Chicago, IL and married Raymond Frank Swierczek, Sr. in 1947 in Chicago where she worked at Drovers Nat'l Bank and Marquette Bank. In 1981 they moved to California to be with her only child, Raymond, Jr. and worked for Hallmark and Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley. Aggie loved dancing and music but most of all, her family: son, Raymond Jr. (Janie), grandchildren, Su (Jim) and Dan (Care) and great grandchildren, Jameson, Danica and Henry. She will be missed by her family in Chicago, many nieces and nephews and their families, and her wonderful friends at Villa Santa Cruz. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, Sr, sisters, Fannie, Mary, Elsie and Millie, brothers, Nick and Frank and her parents, Giacomo and Bertha DiStefano. Mom was always a joy with a positive attitude and sweet, loving manner. We were all so lucky to have her for so many years. She was the best mom and grandmother and was known for her thoughtful gifts of baked cookies for everyone's birthdays or the holidays. (And we can't forget the spaghetti sauce.) Words cannot express the loss we will all feel for the rest of our lives. She was the most wonderful gift to all of us. May her soul rest in peace and love. Funeral services will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM, followed by a reception in the Monarch Reception Room.
